Talent Show success story Paul Potts has had phenomenal success, his first album which has gone platinum in fourteen countries. The Avanti team have been given exclusive access to Paul during the summer months as he promotes his album at home and abroad. In this film Paul talks candidly about the phenomenal changes that have happened to him during the last couple of years, when his life changed almost overnight from a mobile phone salesman to an international artist signed to Sony and being flown around the world. A far cry from the young boy who was bullied at school and found escapism from that bullying in the school choir.
Before he found fame, Paul was so dedicated to music that he funded his own training in Italy but after repeated failures he was about to give up on his dream of singing opera when he took part in Britain’s Got Talent, a decision he took based on the flip of a coin! Having just completed his second album which is about to be released he’s facing a challenging time during the next few months, keeping up with his packed diary, restoring the house and waiting for the response to the famously difficult ‘second album’.
Despite all his success Paul has chosen to stay in Wales, swapping his tiny terrace for a huge Art Deco house that he’s restoring in his much loved home town of Port Talbot. The Avanti team will be there to witness it all.
